‘It can’t be that simple’. These are the words our internal voice often echos when simple solutions are offered to complex problems.
The complexities of suffering from stress and anxiety are high. Not one case is the same. So when a potential solution lies within the way that we breathe, we automatically think, it cant be that simple.
BUT IT CAN!
Previously I have seen ‘breathing exercises’ as a way to connect the mind and the body so that sporting performance increases. I knew it could also help people relax, but only recently did I realize the power that a purposeful breath holds.
After completing James Nestor’s book, ‘Breath’ I was inspired to change some of my breathing habits and in just one week this had a hugely positive impact on my life.
